  • From the perspective of households with children (beneficiaries), they have issues with long-distance travel with children for example, they feel inconvenience when they travel by public transportation with strollers or when their children fell asleep outside.
  • Sumitomo Fudosan Retail Management Co.,Ltd. and Daiwa House Realty Mgt.Co., Ltd. (Smart City’s Field & Infrastructure Provider) intended to introduce services that would solve the problems of families with children and improve the mobility in areas and facilities. They were also interested in measures to attract visitors by accumulating and utilizing data on visitors to the commercial facilities they operate, reviewing tourist spots, and publicizing popular spots in the area.

"Smart Service" details

  • Babydoor, Inc. is a startup that operates a rental and sales service for baby products.
  • "ShareBuggy" is a stroller sharing service that allows users to check the rental and location of strollers through a dedicated app and to rent and return strollers anywhere through a common port. In addition to reducing the burden of going out with children, it is also used for facility management such as service usage data and advertising.
